What does “alternating” next to each exercise mean?

"Alternating" means that you'll perform a rep on your right side, then a rep on your left side, and continue until you complete the prescribed number of reps.

For example, when performing the spider stretch with rotation, you'll step your right foot forward for rep 1, rep 2 is on the left, rep 3 right, etc. until you've completed 10 total reps. (In all, you'll do 5 reps on each leg).

  • I’m not trying to nit pick. In the end I can just err on the side of more. The shred workout does not consistently use the terms alternating and each side. The example used is spider with rotation. I don’t think the term alternating is used in the title of the exercise or in the “i” (information) drop down.
